Emily's Anthology: Get the Look: Beyonce 'Why Don't You Know Me .

I came across a figure of Beyonce looking very pretty in a Google search, so I clicked on it, and it turned out to be a screenshot of her video 'Why Don't You Know Me'. I loved the drama and feel of the look, so I decided to imitate it and have a small tutorial, just in case anyone wanted to try this tone as well.

I tried to dial down the play as often as I could to draw it more wearable, but you can just go so far before your score up ends up having naught to do with the inspiration photo at all, lol. So here's my take, and I promise you guys like it! Now, I don't take to feel like Beyonce or say that my name up is a complete replica of hers. This is simply me translating the look and having fun :)

If you need to get the look, here's what you'll want to do:

Create a strong eyebrow by using an eyebrow pencil and an eyebrow stencil. You can buy these stencils online - eBay has particularly cheap stencils and a broad assortment of shapes to choose from.

Apply a level of cream eyeshadow onto the lid underneath the crease, and in the inner corner of your eye.

Sweep an ash grey colour on top of the cream eyeshadow. Also get the inner corner of your eye, and offer the eyeshadow a little beyond the outer corner, in an upward motion.

Using a fluid or gel eyeliner, first set out the work that you need your eyeliner to take. For this look, extend the eyeliner further than your natural eye pattern in the inner corners and create a point. At the outer corner, exaggerate the wing. Lift it higher than usual, and thicken the eyeliner as you give the outer region of the eye. Then, fill in your eyeliner. If you want, you can set your eyeliner by patting black eyeshadow on top of it.

Using a pencil brush or an eyeliner brush, draw a course of sullen grey eyeshadow in your crease. At the outer corner of your eye, draw the eyeshadow so that it is slightly above your eyeliner, but next the condition of the wing. Blend the eyeshadow line with a tapered blending brush. Make certain there are no harsh lines, but don't go too much because you require a prominent line.

Go over your ash grey eyeshadow once again to give it more defined, then apply eyeshadow around the show that you made with the eyeliner on the inner corner of your eye, and then onto your bottom lashline. Using an eyeliner brush, apply a dingy grey eyeshadow onto your bottom lashline. Apply blush and nude lipstick. The flush is meant to be a very slightly warm neutral colour. If you're tan, try a more peachy pink blush. If you're fair, rosy pink would be best suited to this look.
